Wonderful class. All the basics are covered. I learned enough to start painting right away. The instructor is clear and knowledgeable and makes learning fun. The class is held in a gallery so it’s a great atmosphere and the attached shop has the loveliest cards, gifts and art supplies.

When in Carrboro, you must stop at this lovely destination point. The gift shop is perfectly curated with items you don’t find elsewhere. But don’t stop there. Check out their workshops. I have thoroughly enjoyed each one I took!

Muse Card Shop has been one of my favorite weekend spots for a while now. I’ve had so many memorable experiences browsing their stationery and picking out unique, thoughtful cards for the special people in my life. One of their amazing employees even took the time to teach me about wax sealing, and they always check in on my progress whenever I visit! Most recently, I received a $20 birthday voucher for the store. Unfortunately, my travel plans went awry, and I wasn't able to make it in during the seven-day window. I emailed the shop to see if I could get an extension, and the wonderful owner, Abhi, promptly responded to coordinate a day and time for me to come in and use it. The genuine kindness of the owner and the entire team at Muse Card Shop is exactly what makes this place one of my absolute favorite spots in Carrboro.

This class was so much fun! I learned about color theory, materials, brush techniques as well as practiced watercolor painting. I joined last-minute and never expected such a wonderful experience. Ahbi is a wealth of information and talent. Even more impressive is his his kindness and generosity of spirit. He encouraged all of us to be playful with the art. I highly recommend anything Ahbi is teaching.

I just completed a wonderful watercolor class offered by Abhi. He was so great at explaining, reaching all levels of skill and being encouraging and so supportive. His store is amazing- so many unique gifts, and materials for anyone who wants to create. And he displays local artists work in his gallery. Not to be missed currently is a beautiful quilt exhibit by one very talented 91 yr old prolific artist.
